Product Overview

 

The SMR-3910BG microprocessor-based anti-islanding protection device is suitable for anti-islanding protection on the load side or small power supply side of voltage levels of 10kV and below. It can be installed in a panel or locally on a switchgear. Anti-islanding protection devices are different from low-frequency, low-voltage load shedding (disconnection) devices set up due to system active or reactive power deficits; the two cannot be used interchangeably.

 

Islanding Phenomenon: When the grid loses voltage, the photovoltaic power station continues to supply power to a portion of the de-energized grid. For small photovoltaic power stations, the ability to quickly detect islanding and immediately disconnect from the grid is essential. Generally, photovoltaic inverters have built-in anti-islanding protection functions; however, for the safe, stable, and reliable operation of the power system, an anti-islanding protection device can be installed at the grid connection point as an additional protection device. This device can quickly disconnect the islanded power supply, and when the system voltage is normal, it can also achieve automatic reclosing according to user requirements.

A user-friendly human-machine interface with a fully Chinese-language LCD display, facilitating operation and maintenance personnel; Abundant input and output interfaces; protection functions include both hardware and software control panels; Protection functions: Two-stage zero-sequence overvoltage tripping protection, two-stage undervoltage tripping protection, two-stage overvoltage tripping protection, two-stage low-frequency tripping, two-stage high-frequency tripping, reverse power protection, and non-electrical quantity protection; Waveform recording function: When the sudden change in current of any phase exceeds the starting setpoint, the fault waveform recording function is activated, recording the waveforms of the three-phase current at 32 points per cycle for the 8 cycles before the fault and the 56 cycles after the fault. Waveform data can be uploaded via RS-485 bus or Ethernet.
