Anti-islanding Protection Device

PV Power Plant Grid Connection Point: For PV power plants with a step-up substation, this refers to the high-voltage side busbar or connection point of the step-up substation; for PV power plants without a step-up substation, it refers to the output aggregation point of the PV power plant.

Islanding Phenomenon: When the grid loses voltage, the PV power plant continues to supply power to a portion of the de-energized grid. For small PV power plants, the ability to quickly detect islanding and immediately disconnect from the grid is essential. Generally, PV inverters have built-in anti-islanding protection; however, for the safe, stable, and reliable operation of the power system, an anti-islanding protection device can be installed at the grid connection point as an additional protection device to quickly disconnect distributed islanded power sources.

1) The SMR-3910B device can be centrally panelized or locally distributed on switchgear. Each bay has independent functions, and the devices are only connected via a network for information sharing. This makes the entire system highly flexible and significantly improves its reliability; a failure in any device only affects a local component.

2) The device employs a high-performance processor and a high-resolution A/D converter, combined with a dedicated measurement CT, ensuring high accuracy in remote measurements.

3) The protection function is completely independent of the communication network; network failure will not affect normal operation of the protection system.

4) The device adopts a fully sealed design, coupled with carefully designed anti-interference components, greatly improving its vibration resistance and electromagnetic interference resistance.

5) A watchdog function is included, enabling the entire system to simultaneously possess high measurement accuracy and anti-interference capabilities.

6) A user-friendly human-machine interface is provided. The device uses a large-screen LCD display with full Chinese language support. Trip reports, alarm reports, remote signaling, telemetry, and setting adjustments are all clearly labeled in Chinese on the LCD, facilitating user operation and understanding.
